Bridging the Gap
Bridging the Gap (BTG) is a mission and outreach project of Zion Church funded by a Strengthen Rural Iowa grant. It is run by Zion volunteers and members from the Burlington community. BTG seeks to meet the many needs of Burlington's lowest income citizens. BTG has recently started a clothing store called "The Closet." Clothes of all sizes are available at no cost. By collaborating with various social service groups and by becoming an ICAP site, Zion has effectively begun meeting its goal of "justice for all."
Learn more about Bridging the Gap by reading the story about it that appeared in the Nov. 12, 2010, issue of The Hawk Eye.
Inquiries about the program, or requests for assistance, may be sent to bridgingthegap@zionuccburlington.org.
